Contraindications, Interactions, and Side Effects (Woodruff) :
Class 1. Rarely may cause headache (AHP). None known for proper dosages (PHR). High dosages may cause dizziness, headache, nausea, and stupor (APA; PHR). Long-term consumption may damage idiosyncratic livers (PHR). Not allowed in German products (PHR). Animals fed large doses of coumarin may experience blood clotting problems, growth inhibition, liver damage, and testicular atrophy.
