Dosage (Haronga) :
7.5 - 15 mg hydroalcoholic extract (dry) corresponding to 25 - 50 mg drug (PH2).

Contraindications, Interactions, and Side Effects (Haronga) :
Not covered (AHP). Hazards and/or side effects not recorded for proper therapeutic dosages (PH2). Commission E reports contraindications of bark with leaf: acute pancreatitis (though recommended for pancreatic insufficiency), severe hepatic dysfunction, bile stones, biliary obstruction, empyema of gall bladder, ileus; adverse effects: photosensitivity remotely possible due to hypericin and pseudohypericin.
Should not be used for more than 2 months (AEH; KOM; PHR; PH2).
