Synonym : Boswellia carteri Birdw. (HHB and WO2 data refer to B. serrata, so-called Indian Olibanum, synonym B. glabra Roxb.) I doubt that many people can swear on a stack of bibles whether a resin is frankincense or myrrh, or one or the other species or genus, or a mixture of many species. Let the buyer beware. The frankincense problem is a frankensteinian taxonomic nightmare.
