Dosages (Balsam of Peru):
0.2 - 2 g/day (MAD). Galenics with 5 - 20% balsam, no more than 10% if to be applied over a large area (PIP).

Contraindications, Interactions, and Side Effects (Balsam of Peru):
Allergic skin reactions (KOM; PIP). Commission E reports contraindications: allergic disposition; adverse effects: allergic skin reactions. Application on large surfaces maximum 10%. Not to be used for more
than 1 week (AEH).
